About Us
Mr. Bowers graduated from Florida State University in 2010 and has been involved in the forensic, geotechnical, and structural engineering fields ever since. He began his career evaluating structures to determine the cause and origin of various types of damage, including ground settlement, sinkholes, foundation movement, and building envelope failures. He has also acted as the geotechnical engineer of record by directing field explorations and developing recommendations for ground preparation and foundations for the proposed developments of structures, pavement systems, and stormwater infrastructure. In addition, he has designed hundreds of retaining walls throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Bowers has furthered his career by performing expert witness services for construction dispute matters related to ground movement, foundations, pavements, and similar geotechnical-related matters. He has served as an expert on matters ranging from storm damage to single-family residences, to construction disputes on $100M+ insurance claims. Mr. Bowers maintains his Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in 25+ states* including: ​

Mr. Bowdoin graduated from Auburn University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and has been involved in the civil, geotechnical, structural, and forensic engineering fields ever since. He began his career at Atkins-Réalis, where he progressed from design engineer to Senior Engineer and Project Manager, developing deep expertise in airfield pavement design, stormwater and utility infrastructure, and construction management. Over more than 18 years, he has served as lead engineer on 50+ design and construction projects at 30+ airports worldwide, including major programs such as the $780M Runway 9R-27L expansion at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, the $160M West Maintenance Area Parking Apron at Los Angeles International Airport, and the $7B King Abdul-Aziz International Airport Development in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His project experience spans pavement design and rehabilitation, terminal and apron expansions, stormwater and drainage systems, airfield electrical and lighting infrastructure, and construction administration for both civilian and military aviation facilities.

Mr. Bowdoin has furthered his career by co-founding Banyan Engineering Group, where he serves as Principal Engineer performing forensic property damage assessments, litigation support, and expert witness engagements. He has conducted numerous forensic investigations into causes of property damage and distress, including wind and hail damage, water intrusion, roof and building envelope failures, pavement and drainage-related distress, and construction defect disputes. He has served as an expert on matters ranging from residential insurance claims to commercial property disputes involving detailed causation analysis and litigation support. Mr. Bowdoin maintains his Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida (PE #77574) and is affiliated with ACEC, ACC, ASCE, and the Florida Engineering Society (FES).
